Sweetwater County High School Graduate Scholarship

Sweetwater County BOCES Scholarship 

Beginning Fall 2026 (August 17, 2026), the following updates will apply to the SBOCES Scholarship for both recent high school graduates and adult BOCES students:

Award Amount: Up to a Maximum of $4,800 for the duration fo the student's time at 鶹ԭ. A student may receive up to  $2,400 per academic year ($100 per credit hour, 3–12 credit hours per semester) to be applied towards Direct Costs only (Tuition, fees, books purchased at 鶹ԭ Community College's Bookstore, 鶹ԭ's on- campus housing and meal plan).

Summer Term: No longer available for use in the summer term starting Summer 2026.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a degree-seeking student.
  • Must be enrolled in 3 to 12 credit hours per semester.

Application Deadline: You must apply by Financial Aid’s Census Date, which is 10 days after the semester begins.

Note: This deadline applies only to Sweetwater Adult BOCES students. Adult students must complete 鶹ԭ's General .

Note: Sweetwater High School Graduates please complete  鶹ԭ's General to be matched with other scholarship opportunities.  The application is not required for Sweetwater High School Graduates to receive the Sweetwater County Graduate scholarship. The scholarship will automatically be applied once 鶹ԭ receives your final high school transcript.

Renewal Requirements:

  • Renewable for up to four semesters or a maximum of $4,800 whichever occurs first.
  • Must maintain a 2.0 semester GPA or higher.
  • Continuous enrollment is required.

Reinstatement:

  • If a student becomes ineligible (e.g., GPA below 2.0 or breaks enrollment), they must complete a semester(s) without the scholarship and regain a 2.0 semester GPA to requalify.

Any student accepted into the Nursing Program (ADN Nursing student must provide a copy of their acceptance letter) or if enrolled in the BAS Degree Programs, will get an extension above the $4800 up to direct costs for the additional semesters they are completing for these higher degree programs
